Guillemard Bus Service first entered into service in 1968. As the official bus operator for the Guillemard English School, the company retained the "Guillemard" name during it’s registration. Founded by Mr. Chan Yin Piew, his brother Mr Chan Seng Piew eventually joined the company in the 1980s. Over the years, the company has grown both in fleet size and reputation.

The business is currently managed by its 2nd generation Mr Chan Guan Liang who has returned to Singapore after graduating from the University of Melbourne. He is also actively involved in the Singapore Schools & Private Hire Bus Owners' Associations events and holds the position of  Assistant Secretary (2020 - 2021).
